Privacy Policy

StayThere is a direct-booking search service. This policy covers staythere.ai and the StayThere MCP service used by ChatGPT and other compatible clients.

Information processed

When you search, StayThere processes the destination, dates, guest count, filters, amenities, and listing identifiers needed to return results, property details, availability, pricing, and direct booking links. StayThere does not require a guest account and does not receive your full ChatGPT conversation—only the structured tool request sent to the MCP service.

The website records limited usage events such as pages viewed, searches, listing opens, direct-booking clicks, device category, and referring website. These events use a random session identifier stored for the browser session. StayThere does not intentionally store visitor IP addresses, precise location, names, email addresses, or advertising identifiers with these analytics events.

Contact messages

If you use the contact form, StayThere stores the name, email address, topic, and message you provide so the team can respond and maintain support records.

Booking providers and external services

To answer searches and live-quote requests, StayThere may send listing identifiers, dates, guest counts, and related booking parameters to the property manager's direct-booking system or other service that supplies the listing. Opening a direct booking link takes you to that provider, whose privacy policy and terms apply.

Retention and sharing

Website analytics events are retained for up to 90 days. Short-lived server caches may hold destination search results for several minutes to improve speed. Contact messages are retained while needed for support. StayThere does not sell personal information or use guest data for targeted advertising.

Security and choices

StayThere limits the information collected and uses reasonable safeguards for stored data. MCP searches are recorded separately from website activity using only the submitted destination, trip parameters, filters, and result counts. StayThere does not attach IP addresses or user identities to MCP analytics. You may ask StayThere to delete a contact message by using the contact form.
